Stoneware Ovolo

A beautiful sculptural form, the ovolo was originally derived from woven bamboo fish traps found in South East Asia. The name comes from the latin 'ovum', meaning egg.  Ovolos are cast in a plaster mould using a porcelain casting slip. The interior glaze colours are all one offs, so do enquire if you would prefer a specific colour scheme (blue, red, cream).
